;A;

A good friend of mine mentioned that tumblr is actually way more convenient than blogger so I'm packing up shop and shifting!

Well, considering I have no steady followers, this shouldn't be a devastating move, but nonetheless, I have enjoyed your user-friendly interface and colorful themes.

Goodbye, Blogger

Lazy days, please enter

Super epic song:

Midterms ended yesterday!!! *cough*ididn'tstudyatall*cough*
Anywayyyyyyyy~ end of midterms means....

SENIORITIS HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING!
Actually, I've had senioritis since the end of my junior year.... but.... that's not the point.... it's just.... go with it, okay?

Anyway, since I'm now free to not do any schoolwork (without feeling guilty), I've decided to do something that I've wanted to learn since I was little....
Here's a rough list of the most important things I have yet to learn/do:

1. Learn how to read Chinese (Yeah, I'm Korean but it's kind of like learning Latin to understand romance languages better)
2. Learn to really play guitar (psssh two weeks of summer classes and all I can manage are 4 chords)
3, Memorize Moonlight Sonata
4. Learn to knit
5. Write a novel

So... I am tackling number 4!!!! Huzzah!

But....... OTL my first attempt was rather failure-filled:

I don't know any English terminology because my mom has been teaching me in Korean but I will attempt to explain... -_-

There are two types of stitches. My mom calls them forward and backward (I think backward is calling purling in English but I'm too fried to remember that).

Forward stitches create a vertical pattern.

Backward stitches, on the other hand, create a horizontal pattern.

Sorry about the terrible lighting but I have a migraine so most of my lights in my room are off
-_-

Anyway, my first attempt may look fine but that's only because I had to use my feet and my free hand to keep it flat. Since it was my first try, I alternated each row with forward and backward stitches. At first it looked ok but it CURLS UP LIKE A ROLY-POLY BUG! ARGH!

So, after I got enough roly-poly practice, I moved on to really making a scarf eUe

Since I had a snow day today (8 inches of snow, goodness), the above picture is a result of just today's work.

Notice that my feet are not needed to make this one lie flat.

The magical magicky magic secret my mom revealed to me is to alternate the (*sigh* this is too annoying to type. from here on, backward stitches are BS and forward are FS) FS and BS to create ribbing(? I think that's the terminology)

So it's 2 FS and 2 BS -u-
Hahaha I hope this doesn't turn into my knitting blog.

I don't know if this is obvious, but whenever I start something, I get obsessed. So from Maple Story to the Sims to knitting, my newest obsession is being an old lady hunched over a ball of yarn.....

Ah I almost forgot, I got accepted into Binghamton a couple of weeks ago! Yay!
But I'm really waiting for the spring when all my super-reach schools reply with either "YES" or "NOGTFO"

I also have my interview for reach school #4 sometime soon. OTL I hate talking to strangers. Wish me luck!

Conflict RESOLUTION

I typed the word "conflic" around 4 times before I finally added the t properly at the end -_-

Uh so thief-woman-lady-girl apologized and fixed the comments on her story to include me.
Ufufufufu she probably got an angry email from the admins at ff.net 0U0

Anyyyyway, my friend and I were talking and we guessed that since this girl deleted her story every time she made a change, we figured out that she is unable to figure out that you can simply edit stories instead of deleting them and starting all over again... I hope... I'm really giving her the benefit of the doubt....
Okay... DRAMA TIME OVER

ON TO MORE CHEERFUL NEWS:

I AM DONE WITH COLLEGE APPS !!!! YAYYYY!

I already got my acceptance letter from Rutgers but I really don't want to go there. I mean, it's a pretty good school but EVERYONE from my high school goes there... And my cousin.... and like 5 family friends go there too....

Yeaaah...
Here's to me hopefully getting into my dream school! :D

Continued Thievery, Yes?

So, this girl that ripped off my idea. Remember?
She conveniently deleted her story.
HOW SURPRISING!

Sorry, still burgeoning anger here.
So, I gave her two days and she decided to completely not include the fact her "plot bunnies" were actually partly mine.

So, I emailed the staff at ff.net and I hope that they'll get things sorted out soon.

Okay, so I'm really insulted because if you're going to steal something.....

DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU'RE TAKING MY WORK AND THEN LEAVE ME EVIDENCE TO REPORT!
So frustrated....

She must think I'm stupid or something.

*sigh*
I guess I'll post again if I get any news.

Wish me luck

Whoa... WHOAWHOAHOA

Seriously?
Okay, so I've encountered some art thieves before and I've had a run-in with some people who like to "borrow" quotes from my stories. But this... this is... so bad that I can't even be angry:

Here it is

I don't even know what to say.
This person, reviewed in one of my stories saying that she liked my story and that she had already taken the liberty of taking my plot, my characters and even my story title and basically used them in her story.

I have no problem sharing.
But it kind of... no... it REALLY pisses me off that she would ask me AFTER she had posted.

But for some weird reason, I was really polite and just requested that she add my username to the credits and ask me for permission in advance in the future.

I stared at my sent message for five minutes until I exploded. Curse my strange moments of kindness! WHY DID I WRITE THAT EMAIL SO POLITELY?!

Okay, I know I know I'm not being super understanding about this but I was really angry. And in case it wasn't obvious, I'm no Mother Teresa. And my friend proceeded to make me laugh hard enough to forget about my anger anyway.

I know that if I was a mature person, I would just walk away from all this. But I'm not. I'm a pretty petty person and I tend to hold grudges. I mean, I won't go around harassing this girl all day. But I will post this, saying that if, in the future, anyone wants to borrow something from me, ask my permission first.

PLEASE.

I don't get angry that easily, but once I'm mad... I'm MAD.
So guys, don't do what this girl did.

And no.

I'm not exaggerating.

17 November 2010

I was wondering....

Whoever is reading this...
Are you Jewish? Atheist? Muslim? Christian? What do you believe?

Does it matter?

Why is there all this fuss and animosity and hatred about what we believe in? Shouldn't it be good enough that I have my own religion and you're free to have your own? When did it become acceptable that everyone hates each other for their different ideas?

I'm Christian.
I'm unashamed.
And I feel like for some reason, it is becoming harder and harder to say this without receiving some kind of hateful feedback.

Why are people so set on hating each other over something like religion?

It's too much.

We need to rethink this whole "freedom of religion" thing....

College Failure

Yeah... so i have legitimately... two things and my essay left for my Rutgers app... and my body refuses to work....

Instead, at 11 pm last night, my brain goes,
"Ohhaithar.... WRITE A NEW STORY!"

So... I spent two hours... drawing... determining hair and eye colors and DRAWING CHARACTERS!!! Arggggh....
I mean, this story makes no sense!

Elise, college student and part-time masseuse, is asked by a random man on the street if she wants to make some money. No. Not prostitution. Even better. Babysitting his three troubled younger brothers while rejecting romantic advances from a spying neighbor. This should go well.

Also... I just slept for like two hours and I woke up more tired.... what is this madness?!

SENIOR YEAR, STOP THIS MADNESS NOW! ;A;
